Our History Formed in 1989, Vibro Projects was originally a partnership with the German Vibroflot production company, Vibroflotation and Costain’s foundation engineering division. Five years into the partnership and with UK demand for vibro ground improvement techniques continually increasing, the partnership ceased and a UK centric business, Vibro Projects Limited was established. In October 2006, Bachy Soletanche Limited acquired Vibro Projects. Since the acquisition, Bachy Soletanche has provided, and continues to provide, a support structure for Vibro Projects to further increase its scope and capabilities in the marketplace. Based in Preston, the company specialises in vibroflotation, dynamic compactation and band drain works. With a current turnover of approximately six million pounds, the company continues to go from strength to strength. Although the majority of its techniques remain the same 20 years on, Vibro Project’s technical expertise and in-house capabilities led to the invention of Vibro’s Bottom Feed System. The overall difference to the conventional Bottom Feed System is that Vibro’s technique forms a circular stone column, rather than an oval form. It also uses a more efficient installation technique for a fast track solution with high production rates of 400m to 800m per shift. |
